DESCRIPTION: The Havanese are non-shedding and odorless with a soft coat that is easy to maintain with frequent brushing and periodic bathing. The coat is double coated with soft hair making up both the outer coat and under coat. Coat types can range from very soft to a wavy coat. Both coat types are correct, but the slightly wavy is preferred.

The Havanese are a small but sturdy short-legged dog with a plumed tail carried over there back. They have a soft, profuse untrimmed coat. Although small they are not a fragile dog. The expressive eyes are large and dark with dark pigmented halos. The nose and lips are black except on a true chocolate coloured dog and then the pigment will be brown.

TEMPERAMENT: The Havanese are charming, intelligent and alert, child friendly, loving and devoted. They are known for being natural clowns. Extremely sociable, they thrive on human attention. They are affectionate and happy.

COAT COLOURS: Colours range from white, champagne, cream, gold, chocolate, silver, blue, sable, black or any combination of these colours.
